I was born in Reno, Nevada on April 18, 1969. I've been drawing all my life, but only really taking cartooning seriously since 1991. Before then I was aimlessly drifting from acting (you can see me somewhere in Real Genius, but you have to look carefully) to playing keyboards in rock bands (I think I can still play "Aqualung" and "Let It Be", but don't be surprised if they sound alike) to writing C.S. Lewis-esque children's books which will never see the light of day if I have anything to say about it..

Since then, besides developing the strip you came here to see (more about that here), I've had cartoons published in several underground zines and as part of King Features Syndicate's The New Breed. My hobbies include trying to convince people that Kansas was an underrated band, reading up on English and American history and swallowing crates of aspirin for the subsequent headaches, and... what was the other thing? Oh yes...earning an income. One of my more time-consuming side activities.

(By the way, if anyone is interested in obtaining Newshounds sculptures as displayed here in the photo, contact me and I'll see what I can do.)
